Examining the differences between a Bachelor of Science and Arts

August 9, 2012

Once you earn the college scholarships you need to enroll in a postsecondary institution, you'll need to think about which type of degree you want to earn - a Bachelor of Arts or Science? Many schools offer both to students who are interested in obtaining an undergraduate degree.

But what's the difference between the two? UniversityLanguage.com states that an individual who graduates with a Bachelor of Science typically means that he or she took a series of science-based courses.

Those who enroll in a Bachelor of Arts program usually major in topics that are more general and pertain to a wide field. Individuals who earn a Bachelor of Arts tend to take more comparative studies courses and classes pertaining to history.

Although you might already have a preference before you enroll in a postsecondary institution, the major you choose may decide which bachelor's degree you end up earning. While in school, your program advisors will know which courses are best for you and your concentration.

Now that more students are finding online scholarships to help them pay for tuition, people are graduating with bachelor's degrees and embarking on desirable career paths.
