Leslie Martin is one lucky girl. The 18-year-old Texas teen has won the first Majesty Outdoors college scholarship, which was handed to her May 12th at a fundraising event for next year's recipients held in San Antonio, Texas. According to Majesty Outdoors, the scholarship fund is looking good for 2013, and will likely be able to help out a whole set of graduating seniors.
Majesty Outdoors' new scholarship is an excellent example of the availability of financial aid for college students of all types across the nation. There's almost certainly a college grant or scholarship applications tailor-made for any teen
Majesty Outdoors, which produces a television show of the same name on NBC Sports, has devoted itself to the purpose of helping fatherless teens and fostering in them a love and appreciation for the outdoors. The fundraising event included a number of teens who had previously appeared on the show, all of whom received not only scholastic encouragement but financial aid through Majesty Outdoors. The day's festivities included shooting contests, food and visiting sponsors, such as the newly partnered Columbia Sportswear.
