NSSED accepting scholarship applications from high school seniors
January 19, 2012
Although many high school students have dreams of attending a postsecondary institution, it can be difficult to do so without the funds to pay for tuition. Many individuals see their goals cut short when it comes to earning a degree due to a lack of financial resources. However, college grants and scholarships are helping more people obtain a higher education and embark on a fulfilling career path.
Recently, the Northern Suburban Special Education District (NSSED) Foundation announced that it will be accepting scholarships for the Kinnett Scholarship for College/Further Education, according to TribLocal.com. High school seniors who attend institutions that are affliated with the NSSED are eligible to apply and can do so until March 23.
The goal of the scholarship is to provide individuals with the money they need to enter an undergraduate program and earn a degree. A maximum of six scholarships will be awarded to applicants who show a dedication to academic achievement.
Scholarships can help in more ways than one when it comes to college. These financial resources can curb the cost of tuition, pay for housing and textbooks required for study.
