December 23, 2011
It's not uncommon for high school students to look to college grants and scholarships to help them pay for tuition. As colleges continue to raise the cost of enrolling in their programs, more individuals are having trouble fronting the bill in order to work toward a degree.
In an effort to help students who are dedicated to earning a higher education in order to pursue a career, the DeMayo Law Offices in North Carolina have announced that they will be providing scholarships to worthy applicants. Approximately $37,500 in scholarship money will be award to 15 high school students from various counties throughout the state.
Applicants are being asked to write a short essay on how their communities can help curb drinking and driving. The deadline for the scholarship is February 27, 2012.
"Our firm has chosen this investment in our youth so that all of us together can help prevent underage drinking and driving," Michael DeMayo said.
Applying for college grants and scholarships is helping more students attend the schools of their choice. These financial resources can help pay for everything from tuition to textbooks.
