The president of the Jetta Operating Company has endowed a scholarship of $120,000 to Texas A&M, funded through the Texas A&M Foundation in the Von Gonten Scholars Program, which helps support and provide financial aid for college engineering students.
President Gregory A. Bird, who graduated A&M in 1982 and is also the owner of Jetta Operating, commented that with graduates in such high demand the petroleum industry needs more educated and advanced workers.…
