Scholarships can help those interested in healthcare
September 4, 2012
The healthcare industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in the United States these days, with an increasing number of employment options expected in the coming years. Students with an interest in the field may find that they are able to take advantage of a number of scholarship opportunities available.
Many will find that the opportunity to learn about healthcare can be quite a rewarding experience. In some cases, those who are not able to afford the tuition costs can get their education covered thanks to funding provided by charities. The Daily Courier reports that students at Yavapai College in Arizona will be able to take advantage of a recent donation from the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Prescott. The charity donated 96 scholarships to help those studying radiologic technology and nursing.
"We are so incredibly grateful that a non profit like the Jewish Community Foundation can provide the largest scholarship program in the history of Yavapai College," said Steve Walker, executive director of the Yavapai College Foundation, according to the news provider. "It's an inspiration to us and we hope it is an incentive to other donors to make a difference in students lives."
This is one example of the many scholarships available to students in the healthcare sector. If you're looking for financial assistance, explore the breadth of opportunities with grants for education.
