No matter what, people are always going to want their hair to look cool, which is why going into the hair styling business may be the right move.
Hair gel manufacturer Smooth n' Shine Polishing has announced that it's providing grants for education in the field of cosmetology, and will accept a scholarship application from any student with an eye towards a career in helping appearance-conscious individuals optimize what lies above their foreheads.
"Schwarzkopf & Henkel is thrilled to promote beauty education through the Smooth N' Shine Cosmetology scholarship program," said Kathy Alaama, vice president of marketing for Schwarzkopf & Henkel. "Our goal is to help and inspire these deserving students to reach their full career potential and be successful in our industry."
The Bureau of Labor Statistics, a division of the U.S. Department of Labor, says that cosmetologists bring in an average of about $23,000 per year, and the amount of jobs in the field is expected to grow about 14 percent within the next eight years.
