For students with birthdays at Occidental College in Los Angeles, the occasion is usually marked with an annual Birthday Dunk in the Lucille Gilman Memorial Fountain. At any time of day, a person could be hustled away by some friends and plopped into the fountain, which has been in existence since 1979.

Fun and games at UConn
As many people know, the athletics department at the University of Connecticut is one of the best in the country, with the student body enthusiastically supporting the athletes. One way that fans are able to join the fun is in games of their own. Every spring, students play OOzeball, a muddy version of volleyball. The teams, which have six members, compete in a tournament, with the winning team taking home a cash reward.

The event was started because students at the school feel a special connection to the particle. A whole slew of music and other related events are held in conjunction to keep the fun going.
