For high school seniors Macy Harrison and Chris Barnes, the highlight of June 18 may not have been meeting star Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. The two college-bound students joined Manning and the University of Tennessee (UT) chancellor and provost in a ceremony commending their accomplishments and awarding both scholarships to the university.
The scholarship offers the students a full ride to graduation and is funded by private gifts, academic awards garnered during Manning's time at UT as well as donations by Manning himself and his wife Ashley.…

On June 19, Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Timothy Murphy and Senior Vice President of Comcast's Greater Boston Region Steve Hackley awarded 102 students with more than $111,000 in scholarship funds at the state house. The Comcast Leaders and Achievers scholarship awards students with one-time $1,000 scholarships to the school of their choice.
